Borská Pole Swimming Pool

The building responds to the urban context at the transition between the block urban development and the campus of the University of West Bohemia. The house is a solitaire, a cluster of white crystals growing from the surrounding greenery. Each crystal is sized according to the function it performs. All of them are connected by a transparent ground floor, which opens the house to the public space and to the residential garden that surrounds the building. The house is intentionally not monumental, it has the ambition to be a civilian spa building, an elegant and functional environment for sports and active recreation.
