The site for the kindergarten is located in Jičín, in the area of the former barracks, which is currently undergoing a significant transformation into a residential area according to our winning competition proposal. The new kindergarten building will be deliberately situated at the core of this new district. The kindergarten will have 5 classrooms and the necessary facilities, including its own kitchen, on two floors. Due to the sloping terrain, the building is embedded into the ground, so that approximately half of the ground floor is below ground level, functioning as a basement. The oval shape of the building's floor plan creates a playful impression while offering a large usable area. The entrances to the building are highlighted by interrupting the continuous line of the façades, thus dividing the entire mass into two parts and reducing its scale. The roof is designed as a recreational space, accessible via an external staircase.
